If you have worked with a TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 2022 as a Team Lead and want to continue working with it in MAXQDA 24, you can export it as a local project in MAXQDA 2022 and start a new TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 24.

How to migrate a TeamCloud project from MAXQDA 2022 to MAXQDA 24
- Make sure that all team members have uploaded their work from the current cycle.
- Open the TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 2022 and import all pending files from team members.
- Save the TeamCloud project as a local project by selecting Export as Local Project from the TeamCloud menu tab. This will create a MAXQDA 2022 project file with the extension .mx22.
- Close MAXQDA 2022 and open MAXQDA 24.
- Click Open in the welcome screen and select the previously exported file. MAXQDA will convert it to a MAXQDA 24 project and create a .mx24 project file.
- Navigate to the TeamCloud menu tab and select Upload Project for Team (Start Cycle 1). This will create a new TeamCloud project and you can invite your team members again.
After your team members have accepted the invitation, they can open MAXQDA 24 and - after logging in with their MAXQDA account - access the project from the MAXQDA welcome screen.
Please note:
All team members must use MAXQDA 24 in order to open the new project. It will not work that some team members use MAXQDA 2022 and the others use MAXQDA 24.
On your MAXQDA 24 welcome screen you will only see MAXQDA 24 TeamCloud projects. This also applies to the list of TeamCloud projects, available via the menu item TeamCloud > Open TeamCloud Project.
