I hold a masters in sociology from the University of Chicago. For my MA thesis, I analyzed 22 participant interviews with activists in Israel-Palestine, in MAXQDA, to evaluate a peacebuilding non-profit working to integrate Israeli universities. I also took an intensive course in MAXQDA taught by Professor Sharon Hicks-Bartlett. As coursework, I used MAXQDA to analyze interviews with survivors of America's Japanese internment camps during the 2nd World War.
