Experience | I am a fourth year PhD student of Educational Sciences. I have been using MAXQDA for data coding and analysis since the beginning of my research (both for conducting literature reviews and processing my data). This year I also presented part of my research with my poster at the MQIC conference in Berlin. For the past three years, I have been teaching courses related to research methods (more precisely, “Introduction to Research Methods”, “Social Network and Media Analysis”, “Introduction to Qualitative Analysis”, and “Qualitative Research Practicum”) and in all of them either in Lithuanian or in English I teach students how to use MAXQDA for conducting a small scale research project. Later on, they use the MAXQDA skills gained in the courses to prepare their research project needed to obtain their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree diploma. This year, I also gave a couple of workshops on introduction to MAXQDA. One was on my teaching visit at University West (Sweden) and another one was held online with participants from different universities in Lithuania. The feedback received by the participants was really positive. I am going to give another online workshop on the basics of MAXQDA at the end of October as well. I am currently also using MAXQDA with my colleagues from several different projects (one local and one international - the ECIU University project). The publications are planned to be submitted to academic journals at the end of 2020 and next year. |
