Experience | I bring extensive experience in leveraging qualitative data analysis tools to support rigorous and reflexive research practices. As a PhD holder in Applied Linguistics and Assistant Professor of Language Education at the University of Edinburgh, I also serve as the PGT Director of Research Methods. Over the years, I have made extensive use of MAXQDA across a range of funded research projects, including those supported by the ESRC, Hong Kong UGC, and the Leverhulme Trust. My work consistently emphasizes the value of systematic and thoughtful sense-making in social inquiry, and I advocate for tools like MAXQDA to enhance reflexivity and analytical rigour. I have also drawn on my practical experience to contribute to capacity building in the field, sharing insights through webinars and invited talks hosted by the CAQDAS Networking Project, the American Association of Applied Linguistics, and several UK universities. |
