Experience

I bring extensive experience in leveraging qualitative data analysis tools to support rigorous and reflexive research practices. I have a PhD in Applied Linguistics,  I am Assistant Professor and Director of Research Methods in Education at the University of Edinburgh. Over the years, I have made extensive use of MAXQDA across a range of funded research projects, including those supported by the ESRC, Hong Kong UGC, and the Leverhulme Trust. My work consistently emphasizes the value of systematic and thoughtful sense-making in social inquiry, and I advocate for tools like MAXQDA to enhance reflexivity, ethics, and analytical rigour.
