Experience

As a PhD Candidate in Sociology at New York University, I focus on the dynamics of philanthropy, nonprofits, and religion, with an emphasis on contemporary American Jewish philanthropy. My dissertation explores emerging trends, success stories, and challenges within this field, delving deeply into the experiences of those who work to support, advise, educate, or network Jewish donors.

My research methodology combines qualitative interviewing, computational social science, and ethnography, allowing for a nuanced and comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, I teach qualitative data analysis at the NYU Library, where I emphasize the effective use of digital tools to enhance data analysis techniques.
