Experience | Dr. Melissa Beresford has been providing qualitative data analysis courses, workshops, and training sessions using MAXQDA for 12 years. She specializes in providing QDA training to students and research professionals on transdiciplinary and mixed-methods research teams. She holds a PhD in Anthropology and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. Dr. Beresford regularly uses MAXQDA in her own research, investigating how humans adapt to water insecurity. As a research methodologist, she also regularly conducts research to advance methods for community-based participatory research and qualitative data analysis. Dr. Beresford is a Co-Director of the NSF Cultural Anthropology Methods Program (CAMP) and Associate Editor of the journal Field Methods. |
