Consulting Services

I provide individual and group consultations for researchers, doctoral students, and research teams working with MAXQDA and qualitative or mixed methods research. My consultations cover research design, coding strategies, thematic analysis, analytical framework development, data visualization, and the integration of qualitative and quantitative findings. I offer consultations and training in English and Russian with a focus on education and the social sciences.

Experience

I am a Certified MAXQDA Trainer and PhD in Education with over 10 years of experience in research methods and data analysis. I have trained more than 1,000 researchers across Kazakhstan and Central Asia, working with doctoral students, university faculty, research teams, and think tanks to strengthen their methodological expertise and analytical practice. My training experience spans universities and research organizations, including Nazarbayev University, NARXOZ University, the Data Lab Expert School for Central Asian researchers, the Kazakhstan Sociology Lab, and many others. I deliver workshops, data analysis courses, and consultations that combine practical software training with a deeper understanding of qualitative research methods, mixed methods research, and research design. My journey with MAXQDA began with a project on culturally relevant research ethics in Central Asia, where I analyzed more than 50 in-depth interviews. Since then, I have developed an approach that connects software skills to the methodological decisions behind them, from research design and coding to interpretation and mixed methods integration. My goal is to help researchers understand how to use analytical tools and why particular approaches are appropriate for their research questions and data. I am a co-founder of QualiLAB, a research training initiative dedicated to strengthening research capacity across Central Asia. I have also co-designed an intensive qualitative research program with Professor Joseph Maxwell, bringing together conceptual foundations, MAXQDA skills, and art-based visual research approaches. I provide training and consultations in English and Russian.
