F: Transcribe & analyze audio / video

You can code audio and video files directly without having to provide a transcript. The coded segments are treated like any other segments in MAXQDA. You can retrieve, comment and assign a weight to these segments in the same way as with other segments. This means you are able to analyze a wide range of different types of data – documents, tables, PDFs, media clips – all within the same program.

MAXQDA 12 also has on-board transcription functions for audio and video files, so you can transcribe directly in the Document Browser window. You can import and open any media file for which your computer has a codec.

Tip: Audio and video files are not actually imported into the .mx12 project file. They are saved in the MAXQDA external folder.
