To use this feature, you need the TeamCloud add-on.
If you worked on a TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 24 as a team lead and want to continue in MAXQDA 26, export it from MAXQDA 24 and start a new TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 26.
Before you migrate
- All team members must use MAXQDA 26 to open the migrated project. Mixed setups, with some members on MAXQDA 24 and others on MAXQDA 26, are not supported.
- After migration, only MAXQDA 26 TeamCloud projects are shown in the welcome screen. MAXQDA 24 projects are no longer visible there. This also applies to the project list under TeamCloud > Open TeamCloud Project.
Migrating a TeamCloud project to MAXQDA 26
- Make sure all team members have uploaded their work from the current cycle.
- Open the TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 24 and import all pending files from team members.
- Export the project as a local project via TeamCloud > Export as Local Project. This creates a MAXQDA project file with the extension .mx24.
- Close MAXQDA 24 and open MAXQDA 26.
- Click Open in the welcome screen and select the exported file. MAXQDA converts it and creates a .mqda project file.
- Go to TeamCloud > Upload Project for Team (Start Cycle 1) to create a new TeamCloud project. You can then invite your team members again.
After your team members accept the invitation, they can open MAXQDA, log in with their MAXQDA account, and access the project from the welcome screen.
