If you have worked with a TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 24 as a Team Lead and want to continue working with it in the "new" MAXQDA, you can export it as a local project in MAXQDA 24 and start a new TeamCloud project in new installation of MAXQDA.
Below you will find a detailed descriptoin of the migration process.
How to migrate a TeamCloud project from MAXQDA 24 to MAXQDA
- Make sure that all team members have uploaded their work from the current cycle.
- Open the TeamCloud project in MAXQDA 24 and import all pending files from team members.
- Save the TeamCloud project as a local project by selecting TeamCloud > Export as Local Project. This will create a MAXQDA project file with the extension .mx24.
- Close MAXQDA 24 and open MAXQDA.
- Click Open in the welcome screen and select the previously exported file. MAXQDA will convert it to a MAXQDA project and create a .mqda project file.
- Navigate to TeamCloud > Upload Project for Team (Start Cycle 1). This will create a new TeamCloud project and you can invite your team members again.
After your team members have accepted the invitation, they can open MAXQDA and, after logging in with their MAXQDA account, access the project from the MAXQDA welcome screen.
Please note:
All team members must use the latest version of MAXQDA in order to open the new project. It will not work that some team members use MAXQDA 24 and the others use MAXQDA.
On your MAXQDA welcome screen you will only see MAXQDA TeamCloud projects. This also applies to the list of TeamCloud projects, available via the menu item TeamCloud > Open TeamCloud Project.
