Anonymize Projects

```html
If your project's text documents contain sensitive data, you can save an anonymized copy of the project. To do so, first code the sensitive text passages with a specific code. When you save the anonymized copy, all text coded with this code is replaced with XXX. If you use different codes for different types of sensitive information, you can add all of these codes and subcodes to the anonymization list, for example, "People", "Places", and "Jobs".
Follow these steps:
  1. Start the function by going to Home > Save anonymized project as iconSave anonymized project as
  2. Drag all codes whose coded text should be anonymized from the codes window into the dialog that opens.
  3. Select the option Include code name to display the code name in brackets at the beginning of each anonymized text passage. This is useful, for example, if you use different codes for different types of sensitive information ("person", "place", etc.). If more than one of the selected codes is assigned to the same text passage, only the name of the parent code is displayed.
You can then share the anonymized project copy with others. The anonymized text passages in the project look like this:
Please note: This function works only with text documents, not with PDF files or other document types.
