Lecture: Avoiding Common Pitfalls in Qualitative Data Analysis
Lecture by Dr. Anka Kekez Koštro
Qualitative coding is central to rigorous qualitative research, yet researchers across disciplines often encounter four recurring challenges during the analytic process: unclear alignment between the research design and the coding strategy, data overload, uncertainty about conclusions, and difficulties in presenting analytic procedures transparently. Left unaddressed, these issues can undermine the credibility and coherence of even well-intentioned qualitative work. This webinar tackles each challenge with practical strategies, exploring how to align coding with research questions and study design, manage growing datasets through early and systematic coding, strengthen the credibility of qualitative interpretations, and make analytic decisions and procedures more transparent and traceable.
