Methodological Expertise

I focus on demystifying the qualitative analysis process by empowering researchers, students, and professionals to confidently and ethically use MAXQDA to analyze their own data. My approach emphasizes methodological clarity, practical skill-building, and transparency, enabling users to move from codes to themes and insights they can clearly justify and defend.

Consulting Services

I provide one-on-one consultations and hands-on training to help MAXQDA users confidently manage, code, and analyze qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods data. My support focuses on how to use MAXQDA effectively – developing code systems, moving from codes to themes, and generating meaningful visual outputs. I coach researchers, students, and professionals to independently conduct high-quality analyses they can confidently defend.

Experience

I hold a Ph.D. in Education and have extensive experience using MAXQDA for qualitative and mixed-methods research, teaching, and consultation. I have delivered multiple workshops, webinars, and online tutorials demonstrating MAXQDA’s core and advanced features, with a focus on helping graduate students and researchers conduct rigorous, transparent qualitative analysis. My teaching also integrates ethical and AI-supported qualitative analysis practices aligned with contemporary research standards. I am an accomplished author, including A Step-by-Step Guide to Qualitative Data Coding, and a co-author of Dissertation Research Methods: A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing Up Your Research in the Social Sciences, as well as the co-authored book The Theoretical Framework in Phenomenological Research: Development and Application. My books and instructional materials are widely used in academic programs and professional training contexts.
