MAXQDA – License Types

MAXQDA This is the basic version of our software. You will acquire MAXQDA including the graphics module MAXMaps, a powerful versatile software allowing you to display and work on your data in a graphical workspace. |

MAXQDAplus This is the extended version of our software. You acquire MAXQDA, MAXMaps and MAXDictio, a fully integrated software for dictionary-based content analysis. MAXQDAplus offers powerful options for mixed methods approaches and a great tool finding new insights in textual data. It is not possible to upgrade from MAXQDA to MAXQDAplus. |

Single-User License This license is computer based. A single-user license may be installed on one single computer and one laptop being used alternatively to the desktop pc and owned by the license holder. Only one installation at a time may be used. Single-user licenses can be purchased in any desired amount and will get the same discounts as network licenses. |

Portable License Note: A portable license makes MAXQDA a physical item tied to the specific USB stick it is installed on. Under no circumstances does VERBI take any responsibility in case the MAXQDA license is not available due to loss, theft or damage of the USB stick the software is installed on. Regardless of the legal responsibility of the license holder we recommend users who cannot access their MAXQDA license because of hardware problems to contact suppoprt@maxqda.com in order to work out a satisfying individual solution.This license type is USB stick based. The license holder may work with MAXQDA on any computer the USB stick is plugged into. This license allows for extreme flexibility. Read more… Please note: Portable licenses only run on Windows XP and Windows Vista. If you are using an encrypted USB stick or other protective mechanisms, the portable license may fail to work. |

Network License (available for 5 users or more) The network licenses may be accessed by two times the number of computers as the purchased number of licenses. The actual concurrent use of the software is restricted to the number of puchased licenses. If you are interested in a campus license you, are kindly requested to contact us directly at info@maxqda.com These are multi-user licenses, allowing for concurrent (floating) use of the software. Network licenses may be installed on any network constellation including terminal servers. Any quantity of licenses may be purchased, starting with a minimum of 5 licenses. Please note: Network licenses may not work correctly when using a Novell server. |
