Activate AI Features for MAXQDA
Activate MAXQDA AI Assist and MAXQDA Transcription in Existing Licenses.
Here you have the option to activate AI Assist Free and Transcription feature for your license if you have purchased a student, single-user or network license in our online store or through a reseller.
We understand that your data is valuable and confidential, which is why only licensees are allowed to activate AI Assist in MAXQDA.

AI functions require MAXQDA 24.5 or higher
Please update to the latest MAXQDA version, since all AI features are available from MAXQDA 24.5 onwards. If you are using a network or free-floating license, please make sure that the network license manager is Netlic 1.7. or higher
Activate AI features in serial number
Please enter your MAXQDA serial number below to add AI Assist and/or MAXQDA Transcription feature to your license. We will check if you are eligible.
Are you using a different license than those mentioned above (e.g. Site license)?
If you are a using MAXQDA but haven’t bought the license yourself, please contact the person in charge in your organization or university, to activate AI features for the license you are using.
Where do I find my serial number?
You can find the serial number in MAXQDA in the license status or in the delivery email from Cleverbridge.
Why does an elligibility check take place?
To ensure the confidentiality of your data, we make sure that only license holders can activate the AI-controlled functions in MAXQDA. You can find more information on data protection and AI in MAXQDA here.
Who is the licensee?
You will find the details of the license holder in your last invoice from cleverbridge.
How can I add AI Assist Premium?
If you keep running into prompt limits while using AI Assist free, we recommend an upgrade to AI Assist Premium. You can add it to your existing license anytime.
If you have a subscription (Single-User- or Network License) you can book AI Assist Premium in the Subscription Manager.
If you are using a student license, then activate AI Assist Premium directly in the Online-Shop.
How can I book a Transcription Package?
On this page you activate the availabilty of the feature automatic Transcription in MAXQDA. The activation includes 1 hour of transcription time for your media files. Additional transcription packages can be purchased via the MAXQDA Online Shop and redeemed in your MAXQDA Account.
