Likert-scale surveys are common in research, yet analyzing and interpreting their results can be challenging—especially for non-statisticians. In this 30-minute session, MAXQDA Professional Trainer Jose Alejandro Belen, EdD will guide participants through the essentials of analyzing survey data using MAXQDA Stats. The presentation offers a clear, step-by-step overview—from importing datasets to producing descriptive statistics, reliability tests, and summary reports. Participants will see how MAXQDA transforms raw survey responses into meaningful and actionable insights.

本课程将带您一步步上手MAXQDA，进行完整的文献分析实操。我们将从PDF文献的导入与组织开始，重点演示如何对文本进行系统性编码、利用备忘录工具记录思路，并最终利用可视化功能梳理核心观点，助您将杂乱的文献资料转化为结构化的研究基础。

本セッションでは、MAXQDAを用いたインタビュー分析のステップごとに紹介します。参加者は、データ → コーディング → カテゴリー → 意味解釈 → 可視化 → 結果の報告という分析の流れを通して、体系的なコーディングと解釈によってどのようにパターンや概念が導き出されるかを学びます。本発表では、帰納的・演繹的アプローチの両方を取り上げ、テーマ分析と内容分析を組み合わせながら、MAXQDAが質的研究における理論構築をどのように支援するかを示します。本セッションは中級レベルのユーザーを対象とし、実践的なスキルと分析的思考の橋渡しを目指します。

This Spotlight provides an overview of how MAXQDA’s features can facilitate a thematic analysis, using the phases of Reflexive Thematic Analysis as described by Braun and Clarke (2021) as an example, but adaptable to other types of Thematic Analysis. We consider the use of MAXQDA for familiarizing with qualitative data, coding and retrieving, generating initial themes and refining them, as well as using query tools and visualisations to inform the process and communicate findings.

In this talk, I will share how I used MAXODA to analyze multilingual interviews in both English and Chinese for my research project. I will talk you through my workflow from preparing multilingual data to coding, analyzing, and interpreting insights across languages. We will explore how MAXDOA tools facilitate cross-language analysis and provide practical tips for researchers with multilingual datasets.

In this session we consider the ways in which AI Assist tools can contribute to undertaking different types of literature review, when it is appropriate to utilize them, and how their use integrates with human interpretation. This will include AI summaries, coding and code suggestions, and using AI chat to perform query-based analysis. We will also consider the use of AI Assist tools in combination with selected other tools for reviewing literature.
