For those who are new to MAXQDA, this will be a quick demonstration of the basic routines and functions. It will help you understand the other sessions in the conference.

I will show you how to start a new project, import data into it, create and apply codes in several ways (for inductive or deductive approaches), store demographic data about cases, and start to extract selected data using all of those elements.

MAXQDA provides a range of tools to support Grounded Theory research, from coding and categorization to visualizing emerging theories. This session offers an overview of these features, helping you begin or refine your approach to conducting Grounded Theory analysis with MAXQDA. We will cover creating and organizing open codes, utilizing memos and visualizing theory, and AI support.

Im Mittelpunkt des Workshops steht die Idee eines „Ein-Dokument-Forschungsprojekts“. Wir werden uns mit der grundlegenden Nutzung von MAXQDA beschäftigen, von der Datenexploration über die Kodierung bis hin zur Abfrage von Ergebnissen. Auf diese Weise erhalten die Teilnehmenden einen Überblick über die grundlegenden Funktionen der Software und können alle Schritte vorwegnehmen, die für die Durchführung einer eigenen Forschung notwendig sind.

Nous fournirons quelques clés pour construire un projet de manière structurée et coder les données qualitatives. Finalement, nous mentionnerons quelques outils pour l’analyse et la présentation de résultats.

This session explores how AI Assist supports literature reviews through summaries, coding, and chat-based queries. We’ll cover when to use these tools, how they integrate with human interpretation, and how they complement other literature review methods.

In this intermediate workshop, we will explore how MAXQDA’s visualization tools open new ways to see and communicate your data, analysis, and findings. Through an overview of the visualization tools, we will brainstorm how these tools provide alternative perspectives and can be integrated into qualitative data analysis and reports. Prior MAXQDA experience is helpful but not required.

AI Assist ist der Booster für Effizienz und Effektivität in der Literaturauswertung und Theoriearbeit. In dieser Session wird erläutert, welche Möglichkeiten das KI-Add-on von MAXQDA bietet. Mit MAXQDA AI Assist lassen sich Textstellen oder ganze Dokumente zusammenfassen, datenbasierte Codes vorschlagen und anwenden. Weitere Funktionen sind Erklärungen für unbekannte Begriffe und die Möglichkeit zum Chatten mit Dokumenten.

Esta sesión presenta un enfoque renovado del análisis de cuestionarios en MAXQDA, centrado en la integración de datos de encuesta, variables de documento y de código, y una lógica de métodos mixtos. Se abordará cómo transformar los cuestionarios en un entorno analítico flexible que conecte estructura cuantitativa y profundidad cualitativa.

Esta sessão introdutória apresenta como construir e gerenciar um projeto de análise qualitativa de dados com o MAXQDA. Os participantes poderão seguir passo a passo de como incluir os materiais a serem analisados no programa, como gerar os primeiros insights analíticos, formas visuais de apresentação dos resultados e como extrair relatórios.

This session is focused on how to use MAXQDA in mixed method research, which involves the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and their integration. MAXQDA has numerous features to support mixed methods research. We will focus on the: a) Questions-Themes–Theories worksheet, b) adding variables, c) crosstabs, d) segment matrix, and e) joint displays. The instructor will demonstrate each feature using MAXQDA with research datasets.

In dieser Spotlight Session werden die Einsatzmöglichkeiten des Smart Coding Tools und des Creative Coding Tools vorgestellt. Das Smart Coding Tool eignet sich hervorragend für die Arbeit mit codierten Segmenten, um das Codesystem anzupassen und Änderungen vorzunehmen. Das Creative Coding Tool ist ein mächtiges Werkzeug zur Erstellung und Organisation von hierarchischen Codesystemen.

Nous commencerons par poser quelques repères méthodologiques utiles et par situer approches qualitatives et quantitatives, puis nous verrons les grands principes et les étapes de l’analyse thématique, ainsi que les outils de MaxQDA qui peuvent vous aider à chaque étape.

Renk ve emoji kullanımı, kodları düzenleme, birleştirme ve hiyerarşik yapılandırma gibi konular uygulamalı olarak ele alınacaktır. Oturum sonunda katılımcılar kendi verilerini sistematik biçimde kodlayabilecek yetkinliğe ulaşacaklardır.

This session is designed to help you transition from data analysis to writing using MAXQDA. With a focus on Memos and the Questions-Themes-Theories (QTT) workspace, participants will explore options to deepen their analysis and integrate insights into writing. Using MAXQDA’s sample project, I will demonstrate how to set up and use the QTT worksheet by creating summaries, memos, and visuals.

Tqplicaremos técnicas do MAXQDA para usar a IA como apoio na pesquisa qualitativa. Exploraremos resumos, codificação e chat para análise de textos, além de prompts eficazes e sugestões de códigos. Mostraremos como aplicar códigos em múltiplos documentos, identificar padrões e manter consistência. Discutiremos segurança, ética e integridade no uso da IA na pesquisa científica.

La revisión de bibliografía es una etapa fundamental en los procesos de investigación, que permite situar un estudio en relación con antecedentes, referentes clave y tendencias analíticas recientes. En esta sesión, mostraremos cómo MAXQDA puede facilitar la exploración de información textual, centrándonos en herramientas de búsqueda textual y de inteligencia artificial.
