Important Information:
If your PC is connected to a network, you may have restricted access to certain files. Please note that the demo version requires that the file “setup.lid”, which is part of the download file, NOT be in the READ-ONLY mode! The user must have full access to it. This is automatically the case if you install the demo version as a computer administrator (with all rights to access and change files and settings).

- MAXQDA is a Windows program; in order to use it on MAC OS, you will need an emulation software like BootCamp or Parallels
The trial version contains some practice files. Of course, you may also work with your own data, begin a new project, and save it. After your trial version has expired, you can continue working on your project using the full version.
Note: Once installed, the run time limit of your trial version is 30 days. During this time, you may use the trial version just like the full version, including saving your project. Thus, you may import your work in case you do decide to use MAXQDA 10 for your analysis. After 30 days, the program cannot be opened anymore, but your saved project can be opened again when you purchase a license for the program.

- Introduction Booklet! (841 KB). This 92-page booklet provides an introduction to MAXQDA 2007, but you might as well use it for the newest version MAXQDA10, since the setup routine and the program basics remain familiar. The Introduction Booklet will as soon as possible be adapted to the new version. It is also embedded as a pdf file in the MAXQDA 10 help menu. You will need Acrobat Reader to read or print out the introduction.
