Trainerdetails

I am a PhD candidate in the Mathematics and Science Education Department at Middle East Technical University, Turkey, where I also work as a teaching and research assistant. My academic journey has provided me with significant experience in utilizing MAXQDA software for qualitative research. During my Master’s studies, I used MAXQDA extensively, and I continue to rely on it for my PhD dissertation.

I have completed advanced courses in Qualitative Research, Educational Design Research, and Digital Tools in Qualitative Inquiry, where I conducted several qualitative projects using MAXQDA. As a teaching assistant, I supported the “Qualitative Research” course for undergraduate and graduate students, further developing my teaching skills and understanding of qualitative methodologies.

In my research, I participated in the MaTeK Project to present my project funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 program, where I investigated teachers’ conceptualizations of ‘giftedness’ using MAXQDA’s visual tools, such as word clouds and code maps. I also presented my work at international conferences, including the ESERA conference in 2023, where MAXQDA's code-matrix and code-relation browsers were crucial in analyzing data.

To stay current with advancements, I regularly participate in MAXQDA webinars and follow updates, including new AI-assisted features. Moving forward, I aspire to offer workshops to help students master qualitative data analysis and MAXQDA, particularly those who find it challenging.
