Consulting/Beratung

Specialist in qualitative health research, offering independent consulting services (in Portuguese or English). Available for face-to-face or online short and unstructured sessions to help those who are new to MAXQDA to start with their qualitative analysis. Also available for structured training sessions focused on introducing computer-assisted qualitative data analysis to companies or academia.

Trainerdetails

Mário has a PhD in Sociology (2022), a post-graduation in Data Analysis for the Social Sciences (2016), an MSc in Health Sociology (2012), and a degree in Nursing (2007). He has directly worked on several research projects using MAXQDA, including collaborative projects. Between 2021 and 2023, he worked as a qualitative data analysis specialist at the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC) in the National School of Public Health, in Lisbon. He has experience with basic and advanced MAXQDA tools, either using a classic approach to content analysis - which already has incredibly rich potential for qualitative research - or using Visual Tools and Mixed-Methods approaches. As a trainer, he has provided occasional one-to-one consultations in the projects where he participated and, more recently, he has been systematically dedicated to training and supporting research teams in implementing qualitative data analysis using MAXQDA in different research projects applied to health.
