In this workshop we will explore the various features of MAXQDA’s AI Assist. The workshop will focus on using AI support throughout the stages of the research process, from initial data exploration to the final analysis. For this workshop, we will consider AI Assist as a digital assistant for the qualitative researcher that opens up interesting possibilities but also comes with its own requirements. The workshop will be structured along three interactive exercises that aim to simulate a research project. In this way, the participants will learn how to use AI Assist effectively and critically, and to evaluate its use for their own research projects.
Content
- Writing Code summaries – summarize the content of your coded segments with MAXQDA. Learn how to utilize this in the early and late stages of your research.
- Create comparative summaries for document groups and sets – use AI Assist to explore the commonalities and differences among your documents.
- Gather new ideas for your code system – use MAXQDA to get a fresh perspective on your data and improve your code system.
The workshop will offer a blend of demonstrations and hands-on exercises using a shared dataset.
For Whom
For all those who are interested in better understanding the potential and limitations of generative AI in qualitative research projects.
