Dr. Stefan Rädiker: “Transforming Qualitative Research: AI-Assisted Analysis with MAXQDA”

The new analytical possibilities offered by AI transform qualitative and mixed methods research and push the boundaries of computer-assisted research. In his presentation, Dr. Stefan Rädiker will explore the AI features offered by MAXQDA from a methodological perspective. He will discuss how automatic transcription, automatic summarization, inductive code suggestions, and interactive chat conversations with the manual and user forum contribute to the researcher’s methodological toolkit. Finally, Dr. Rädiker points out the indispensable human factor in the research process and concludes with implications for methods and for researchers.

Dr. Stefan Rädiker is a consultant and trainer for research methods and evaluation and has worked with MAXQDA for more than 20 years. He supports the VERBI team in the further development of MAXQDA and has (co-)authored many textbooks and guides on research methods, including Focused Analysis of Qualitative Interviews with MAXQDA (2020) and Grounded Theory with MAXQDA (2023). www.methoden-expertise.de
