Is there a way to change the default setting when opening documents?

If not, I would find it helpful if I could make documents editable as default. Each time I open a document I start typing, then realise it's locked, then unlock, then go back to typing.

I know not everyone may like this, but the option to change modes would be helpful...

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to keep the Edit Modus turned on by default. This is also a safety measure to avoid deleting content by accident when coding. I have forwarded your wish to change these default options as a feature wish to our development team.
