There is a chance that whatever is happening has to do with user settings being messed up for some reason. So you can reset your user settings to find out if that helps:
1) Open the Preferences by clicking at the gear icon
2) Choose “Reset user settings”
3) Press ok
MAXQDA will restart and your user settings will be set back to default. This is especially helpful if there are issues with the interface.
