Media File Not Found/Type not supported

09.06.2017, 18:34

Every time I try to transcribe an audio file (M4A), I receive an error message that reads "The media file could not be found or its type is not supported." This occurs even immediately after importing the file from my desktop (not connected to my iCloud, because I read that storing files on the cloud could cause problems for MaxQDA). I am running a Mac with the latest OS, and the latest version of MaxQDA.

Thank you for your help.

Dear Kyle,

thank you for contacting us! M4A is a supported file format, and there have been no recent issues with importing audio files, so we would very much like to know what's going on to make sure it stays that way. I have already sent you an email to adress this issue.
Kind regards,

I seem to be having this same issue! I work with a PC and with the latest version of windows and maxqda. It works for a while, and suddenly stops working as I get the same notification that the media file cannot be found or its type is not supported. Even though the file is a mp4 -file. Could you help me fix this?
