Coding on retrieved segments

12.12.2014, 12:54

Hi,

Nvivo has a very useful feature that allows you to 'code on' on top of retrieved segments. For instance, you can do a first pass of general codes, then within each segment code additional detail.

However in MAXQDA (MAC) it is not possible to apply a code to text in the retrieved segment window. Could you tell me how to do this, or add this feature if it is not possible?

Many thanks

Hi John,

MAXQDA 11 for Windows offers the feature to code the content in the upper part of the "Overview of retrieved segments" window, but this option is not available in the MAXQDA 11 for Mac version.

We plan to integrate this in version 12.

Best regards,
Stefan
