MaxApp import - Sound files?

09.05.2014, 22:50

When I imported a MaxApp project, the images, and text files transferred directly into the new MaxQDA project, but the sound files remained as "external".
How do I import so that the sound files are available for transcription?

Hi,

sorry for answering late.

Sound files are "attached" to text files that have the same name. If you right click on the text file and choose "Open document and audiofile".
If you want to transcribe the file you need to switch on the Edit mode by clicking on the "Edit" button.

Best regards,

Thanks, that got me to a point where I have the document browser and the multimedia browser open, and I can edit and add text comments or transcription.
Somehow I can't seem to get timestamps using enter (tickbox property) or F8 once I have edit mode on.
The manual isn't clear about this and I am perhaps not understanding something simple.

Any suggestions on how I get timestamps and text entry to work at the same time?
