Cannot copy coded segment in the smart coding tool

29.04.2021, 09:34

I want to report a possible bug with not being able to copy coded segments to clipboard in the smart coding tool

To reproduce:
    open smart coding tool
double click a text segment on the right pane
select a part of the text
right mouse click for the context menu and choose "copy" or Ctrl+C
    try to paste

Even there is option to copy text it does not work.
Copying text does work in document browser and pasting even inserts the standard location designation in brackets (document, paragraph). So adding a coding example within smart coding tool is a pain since you have to type it manually or quitting the tool and then trying to get back to your position. Also I wonder if pasting as plain text is possible, as you can see in the video below pasting retains formatting.
