Bug MAXQDA2018: Autocode Retrieved Segments: List Incomplete

21.09.2020, 11:20

The list of codes available under 'Autocode Retrieved Segments' window only shows 2 codes (neither of which I want to autocode). Is it possible to get this bug fixed?

Version: MAXQDA 2018
System: Mac OS X 10.15 (Catalina)

See the attached image. My code system has hundreds of codes—but there are only three available in the list.

Hi,

This is apparently not a bug. The quick list in the Autocode options window entails only the recently used codes. For example, after opening your project file you used only three codes "A", "B" and "C" (although you have many further codes in your code system), then you retrieve some coded segments and want to autocode them using the "quick list". In this case, you will only see the codes "A", "B" and "C" there. To view more codes in the quick list, click on the desired codes in the code system before you start the process. They will then appear in the quick list of the Autocode options window.

I hope this helps!
