Tweet langauges

Is there a way to select and filter imported tweets by languages that are not included in the drop-down menue? For instance, I need tweets in Latvian, but there is no Latvian in the dropdown list. But the language itself is in the tweet metadata. So it is possible to import all tweets, then export to excel, filter out all the unrequired languages, save and import back the correct data. Is there an easier way?

Dear Klavs,

Thank you for your question!

Which languages are available in the menu depends on the Twitter API and the way it is implemented in MAXQDA. Yes, the solution you mentioned sounds like a good workaround. You could also try to use specific search terms or hashtags that indicate for you that a Tweet is in Latvian, so you will have less noise to filter through!

I hope this helps! If not, or in case of any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Best regards on behalf of the MAXQDA support team,
