Arrow keys, playback, and typing

27.11.2018, 22:52

Hi there. I'm relatively new to MAXQDA. I searched for an answer to my question but couldn't find anything. I'm using MAXQDA2018 on Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1.

I am trying to transcribe an audio file. While typing, I sometimes use the arrow keys to move the cursor to make corrections. However, this also moves the audio playback position, which is driving me crazy. Similarly, I also use option + arrow key to move the cursor, which moves the audio playback position.

Is there anyway to change settings so that arrow keys only move the cursor and not the audio playback position?

Version: MAXQDA 2018
System: Mac OS X 10.13 (High Sierra)

Hello team_uni,
thanks for your question and welcome to the MAXQDA Forum! I'm afraid there is no setting to change this behaviour yet. I will forward this as a feature suggestion to our development team.

Kind regards on behalf of the MAXQDA support team,
