Government and the Public Sector

MAXQDA in the Public Sector

Since its first release in 1989, MAXQDA has become one of the most widely used programs for qualitative research in the public sector. Over 25 years of sustained development in close collaboration with world-leading experts have made MAXQDA the most advanced QDA program in the field. MAXQDA is especially designed to support and facilitate international teamwork and since it is available in 15 languages it is used by thousands of research teams in government organisations, institutes and NGOs spanning 150 countries.

A key reason for MAXQDA’s international success in the public sector is its flexibility: whether you’re researching qualitatively or quantitatively – or even combining both – MAXQDA features a range of mixed methods functions, including the powerful Stats module, which cover a broad range of methodological approaches and provide in depth insights into multiple types of data.

MAXQDA is used extensively in public healthcare research. It has helped communities in the United States study youth justice movements. And, most recently, the International Center for Advanced Research and Training (ICART) in the Democratic Republic of Congo used MAXQDA to help develop local research capacity in the field of gender-based violence and clinical healthcare. More Experiences from the Public Sphere

Karen Andes, Ph.D. (NGO and Public Sector

“I have used MAXQDA as my primary recommended qualitative data analysis software program since 2005, when I began facilitating Spanish-language projects and MAXQDA was the only program with full documentation in Spanish. Since that time, I have taught MAXQDA in a wide variety of settings including education, government, and non-profit organizations.”
