General tips for improving performance

  1. Always make sure that you open the project file from a non-synchronized folder on a local hard disk. You can read more about this here:

  2. You might also want to move your external files to a local hard drive first to see if the connection to this external folder might be the reason for the problem.
  3. For larger or many external files, we recommend you save them as “External Documents” (i.e. images and PDF files, for example, are not saved directly in the project file, but in the “Externals” folder) You can learn more about this here:

  4. Transfer all your documents into document groups, making sure the individual groups are not too large (approx. max. 100 documents per group). By activating only individual document groups (one after the other), not all documents (and their coded segments) will be included in the selected function, but only a smaller part.
