Experience

I started using MAXQDA in 2007 during my master’s degree studies within a group research project, and for my dissertation research project – during which I employed various tools and functions provided by MAXQDA including coding, integrating and visualizing, to name a few. Later on, during my PhD research project I further developed my skills in using computerized softwares and gained knowledge in various qualitative methodologies, such as qualitative and grounded theory approaches. In my role as a university lecturer in the field of Management and Social Scientific Research, I also provide support to students’ research projects, particularly for methodology guidance (qualitative) and computerized data analysis using MAXQDA. I often deliver training sessions for groups and one-to-one basis training and consultancy covering various areas of MAXQDA use, including basic level training, advanced level training, and customized training/consultancy. I work with researchers and research groups to identify appropriate strategies on how best to use the software given certain considerations such as methodological approach employed and provide guidance and required training. I am happy to share in my workshops or to apply as a consulting service for interested research groups.
