Tip of the Month – Analyzing Webpages
Tip of the month – 06/11
Have you ever wished you could analyze webpages in MAXQDA? While you can easily import a wide range of file formats, like DOC, DOCX, PDF, and RTF, HTML files can’t be imported directly. This doesn’t mean you can’t analyze webpages, though, and you’re not even limited to webpage text. All visual content can be analyzed as well. The easiest way to do this is to print or save the webpage as a PDF file.
You can do this with the help of free programs like PDFCreator or Web2PDF. Once you have converted the webpage, it can be imported into MAXQDA for analysis. You will see it in MAXQDA exactly as you would in your internet browser, and you can code both text and visual elements.
