Assign weight filter to multiple segments simultaneously?

Assign weight filter to multiple segments simultaneously?

24.08.2017, 10:47

Hi!

In the features for MaxQDA 11 (I am currently running 12) https://www.maxqda.com/products/maxqda11
one can read under "Extended code options" that it is now possible to:

* Change the weight score of multiple coded segments at once in the “Overview of coded segments”.

However, there is no information in the manual how to do this. I have tried to select multiple rows in the retrieved segments window, in table view, to change many rows at the same time. Unfortunately with no luck. Is there someone who nows how to this? Changing weight filter one row by one for thousands of rows seems a little bit daunting :)

Version: MAXQDA 12
System: Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)

Hi Andreas!

thank you for your question! You were already very close: When you have coded segments in a list (for that you can have the retrieved-segments window in table view, or right-click on a code and select "Overview of coded segments"), then you can mark all of them by CMD+A, and then rightclickt on the marked entries and select "Modify weight" from the context menu.

Kind regards,

Andreas
