Color-coded highlights for PDFs in Mac

11.04.2014, 10:31

Hi there,

I am currently considering MAXQDA for Mac, and one feature I was particularly interested in was the color-coded highlights, i.e. the possibility to visualize the coded segments as highlights. I see that this works well for text documents, but it's not available for PDFs.

1) Are there any plans to make this available in the future?
2) Is it available in the PC version?

Thanks!

Francesco.

Hi Francesco,

highlight coding is not available for PDFs in Windows and Mac, but we have it on our lists of feature request.

Best regards,
Stefan

Great! Looking forward to this option, it's really the only one that matters for my needs that Maxqda is missing in relation to Nvivo

One more question about this: is there an ETA for this feature? I am starting to realize how crucial it is for my workflow...Thanks!

Hi Francesco,
this feature will probably not be included into MAXQDA 11 in the near future.

Dear Julia
Thank you very much for this clarification.
It helps me a lot to make my choice between the different QDA packages.
Best,
Francesco.
