In the second example we want to create a dictionary. A dictionary consists of terms, categories and allocated search-terms, which are indicators for the terms and categories.

We open the dictionary:

At first we define five categories: "persons", "locations", "apostles", "the evil", and "women".
TIPP: Click on the button NEW to create a new category and double-click on a name to change it.

2

Now for the category "apostles" we define search-terms which stand for this category. For example, "John", "Mark", "Luke", and so on.
TIPP: Click on the button NEW to create a new search-term and double-click on a name to change it.

3

Search-terms can either be typed in by hand or selected from the word frequency-list (to do so, open the frequency-list additionally). Then select the desired category in the dictionary, click on the word in the frequency-list with the right mouse-button and select the option "Add to Dictionary".

4

For each search-term you can define individually if exact matches should be found, or if the word stem should be searched for, as well as whether case sensitivity should be considered or not.

5

Dictionaries can be saved and are independent from projects. You can use them with any of your projects. Several dictionaries can also be joined together to one single dictionary.

6

Now we want to count only the words which appear in the dictionary. To do so, click on the button "Count Only Dictionary-Words" and then (do not forget to activate the desired texts) click on the word frequency-button (second from the left).

  The results look like this:
