The most frequent words in the Gospel of Luke are " xyz ", " abc ", and " dfe ". These are no sense-bearing words, and probably not interesting for the search result. MAXdictio allows to enter such words into a stop-list, with the effect, that these words are not considered in a further search. Double-clicking on the green symbol in front of each word adds it to the stop-list. It is advisable to look through about the 50 first words of the list and mark all uninteresting ones as stop-words.

Take a look at the stop-list , which now has been created:
Tip: Stop-lists can be saved and used again and again, also for other projects.

Now we want to find out, where and in which context the word "people" appears. Click on the word with the right mouse button and select the option "Create Index".

You will be confronted with a pretty large number of hits. By clicking on the according place in the Gospel of Luke, the text will be loaded into the text-browser. The hits can also be exported and coded.

Now you can compare these results with the Gospel of Mark by activating this and deactivating the Gospel of Luke.
